Three players the Washington Football Team could trade for
The Lions are reportedly shopping Wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. Some rumors and reports have linked Washington to having interest in him. Marvin Jones is a great number two receiver with the lions and that is exactly what Washington needs. Terry McLaurin would be the number one and Marvin Jones would be the number two wideout. Jones had a 1,000 yard receiving season in 2017 when he was fully healthy and played in all sixteen games. He also had 62 catches and 779 yards last season. Jones is a big target standing at 6 -2 and 199 pounds. He mixes speed with being a strong receiver that moves the chains. He is also on the last year of his contract.
Will Fuller is a speedy receiver that can take the top off defense. Fuller has 490 receiving yards on the season through seven games and is on pace for 1,000 yards. He had his career high last year at 670 yards in eleven games. Will Fuller is also a former first round pick. Fuller ran a 4.37 at the NFL combine and could add speed to the team with McLaurin and Steve Sims. Washington has not been able to throw the ball downfield much this year and Fuller could help that with his elite speed. The only knock on him is that he has missed many games in his career due to injury.
John Ross is another speed receiver that could help Washington’s offense. He is a former first round pick that many have called a bust. The Bengals declined his fifth year option and he is in the last year of his contract. John Ross ran a record breaking 4.22 40 yard dash in the 2017 NFL draft combine . Last season he had 28 catches for 506 yards before he got injured. Ross was finally showcasing his elite speed in games. Washington could use a 6th round pick for a guy who has fallen out of rotation with the Bengals but still has elite speed and talent.
