Both the Ravens and Bills are coming off victories from last week’s wild-card weekend where the Ravens defeated the Titans 20-13, Buffalo pulled off the victory against the Colts 27-24. The biggest talking point for this game is going to be the battle between two of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL; Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.
Lamar Jackson obtained his first post-season victory leading the Ravens to a win over the Titans where he threw for 179 passing yards, completing 17 out of 24 of his passes while being a force in the run game with 136 rushing yards and a touchdown. The offense of Baltimore played well despite being down early 10-0 heading into the second quarter. Over the course of this season, the Ravens have had a habit of abandoning the run game, becoming pass-heavy when down early in games, Against Tennesse, the story was a lot different as Baltimore even with being down early still remained consistent in the run game.
The Ravens this weekend are going on the road to face a Bills teams the surrendered 163 rushing yards against the Colts. If the Ravens can continue to remain consistent in the run game utilizing Lamar and J.K Dobbins there is a great chance that Baltimore could pull off the win on the road in Buffalo.
Buffalo in there win against the Colts were flawless on offense as Josh Allen made big play after big play for the Bills in the passing game completing 26 out of 35 of his passes, for 324 passing yards, and 2 touchdowns, while also leading the team in rushing yards with 54 yards plus a touchdown.
For the Bills, their offense could give the Ravens secondary issues with their vertical passing game as the Ravens have a very physical group of cornerbacks led by Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters which with their playing styles results in a lot of pass interference penalties being called against the Ravens. If the Bills can continue to throw the ball downfield with their air raid attack they could defeat the Baltimore Ravens and advance to the AFC Championship.
My Prediction; Ravens 27 Bills 20.
