Does Dwayne Haskins have enough talent around him to succeed?

Dwayne Haskins is going into a make or break year for his NFL Career. Urban Meyer said for Dwayne Haskins to be successful he needs to have great talent around him. In this video I ask if Ron Rivera has put enough talent around Haskins to be a successful as a young quarterback. Outside of former Ohio St teammate, Terry Mclaurin, there is much to be desired at the Wide receiver position. There is some talent on the offensive roster but most of it is unproven. I believe that Haskins can be the franchise Quarterback but he will have an uphill battle with this young roster.
Pro Football Focus is not always reliable but they have ranked Washington’s wide receiver group as the worst group in the league. Terry Mclaurin had a stellar rookie season last year and found a connection with Dwayne Haskins in the last 2 games of the season. Another rookie receiver Steve Sims Jr. stepped up in the last few games as well but doesn’t have a full season of work to show for. I do think that Steve Sims will be the breakout player for the team and will be a huge spark. The team drafted Antonio Gandy Golden in the 4th round this year who is projected to be the starter across from Mclaurin since Kelvin Harmon tore his ACL last month. Cody Latimer is facing 2nd degree assault charges and hasn’t done much in his career so far. This group has a lot of potential but once again nothing proven accept for Terry Mclaurin.
The tight ends are probably the worst in the league. Logan Thomas is slated to start week 1 and he has not had over 200 yards receiving in a season. On the bright side the Football team did draft dual threat Wide Receiver/Running back Antonio Gibson who can do it all. He should really bring a different dynamic to help Dwayne Haskins on short throws and yards after the catch.
The Running back room is very underrated and will definitely help Dwayne Haskins if they stay healthy. Running Back Bryce Love was cleared to play after tearing his ACL in 2018. Derrius Guice has been cleared to play as well. Guice ran for over 100 yards in a big win last year against the Panthers. J.D. Mckissic is another great 3rd down back that can play receiver and played the position in college.
Ron Rivera went after Amari Cooper and missed in free agency. After that he went bargain shopping to help Dwayne Haskins on offense. I really wish Ron would’ve went after more proven talent to help the young quarterback. If the young players on this roster can stay healthy then Dwayne Haskins could really have a breakout season.
