Jarvis Landry is underrated, he has been underrated for essentially his entire career. He was picked in the 2nd round of the much fabled 2014 draft despite putting up first round production at Louisiana State University along side his now teammate Odell Beckham jr. After that slight he went on to make three straight pro bowls in Miami and was rewarded by being traded as the Dolphins had no desire to pay him after his rookie deal expired. But, even with a new beginning with a team that valued him enough to pay him top dollar, and despite him making 5 straight pro bowls, and having a career year and was 10th in the NFL in receiving yards. Despite shaky QB play & play calling , while sharing the load with Odell Beckham Jr, while getting less targets, against 9 top 10 pass defenses. Yes, despite all this the larger football world outside of Cleveland, Ohio has yet to recognize just how good Jarvis Landry is. In no place is this clearer then in Madden 21’s ratings that some how found a way to rate Jarvis Landry at a 85 and JuJu Smith Schuster at a 86. Which means despite Jarvis having a career year and doubling JuJu in every major stat category in 2019, despite JuJu’s awful production (552 yrds and 3 tds) somehow someway he is still ranked higher then Jarvis Landry.
So today let’s break down exactly how terrible Jarvis Landry’s Madden 21 rating is and compare his numbers to some of the leagues best WR’s in the NFL in order to better determine where exactly should Jarvis Landry be rated as a top receiver in the NFL.
