Mel Kiper Jr. hasn’t been the biggest adversary to the Giants to my knowledge but Dave Gettleman definitely made a believer out of him in this draft. During a segment on ESPN’s “KJZ“, former NFL WR Keyshawn Johnson asked Kiper. “What did you grade the Giants?” as Jay Williams also adds a question, “Why a B+?”. That’s when Kiper quickly answers “I admit, I was too tough a grader. I was coming back from the draft, I was tired. It’s 2 or 3 in the morning. I just said, well give them a B+”
Mel Kiper changed his Giants Draft Grade from a B+ to an A.

Mel Kiper also began to note that it’s so hard to ignore the job Dave Gettleman and the Giants have done in this draft for their team. Being able to trade back not once but twice, whilst picking up great valuable talent such as Kadarius Toney in the 1st round as you acquire a 1st and a 4th next year as well as a 5th this year. Then, trading down 8 spots in the 2nd round and still landing a player who should have been long gone in the 1st round that also fits a huge need.
The only thing keeping the Giants grade from being an A+ was the shocker of 0 offensive lineman being taken in the draft. Interior O-line might have been the number 1 need on this team, or so we thought. If the Giants prove to be correct about their feeling about this young O-line. Not only would this draft be re-graded as an A+. But the sky would be the limit for this team’s potential in 2021.
