I started this series talking about the most important position the Miami Dolphins have been look at for 21 years, now I’m onto a position that the Dolphins did not have one player go over 100 yards in a game! That position is running back and extremely important for any NFL team to be successful. The Dolphins leading rusher last year was Ryan Fitzpatrick. Yes you read that right the leading rusher for the Dolphins last year was a 14 year vet quarterback that does not have Lamar Jackson speed. This year the Dolphins knew they needed help in that category and add 3 players to that position.
The Dolphins went out and signed Jordan Howard who played on the Chicago Bear and Philadelphia Eagles. They also made a shocking move in the 2020 NFL draft by not drafting a running back but trading a 5th round pick to the 49ers for the speedy Matt Breida. They also used their 7th round pick on the man who is going to be the swiss army knife of the offense Malcolm Perry. With these additions one or two of the running backs from last years team will be the odd man out. Will that be Kalen Ballage, Myles Gaskin, or the Intern Patrick Laird.
