Check out KidBlue’s reaction to the Giants huge win against Seattle! ^^
The Giants remain Kings of the East, as they defeat the Seattle Seahawks 17-12. Without Daniel Jones, this might be the biggest upset of the season as Colt McCoy gets his 1st win starting for New York. With this win, the Giants make the remaining schedule look very beatable and make a possibility of wining out.
This win comes off the shoulders of Wayne Gallman and the defense. Gallman had another career day as he surpasses his previous record total of 94 yards with 135 yards. Gallman only received about 5 carries in the first half and did not run the ball very well which is what we all thought would transpire being that Seattle is 3rd in the NFL in rush defense. Then as the 3rd quarter came around, Gallman with help of this impressive line, broke a huge 60 yard run to set up the Giants first points of the game.
This defense was spectacular to say the absolute least. This has to have been the best performance from this defensive unit all season. Leonard Williams surpasses his personal yearly sack total of 7 with 8.5 and still counting. Williams also totaled 2.5 sacks in this game alone as we was unstoppable. The Giants pass rush were able to pressure Russell Wilson and constantly put him in distress as the defense racks up 5 sacks in this game. The other sacks coming from Jabaal Sheard (.5), Tae Crowder, and Jabrill Peppers.
The defensive backfield also had an impressive showing. Isaac Yiadom really held his own, Darnay Holmes had an interception off a tipped pass, and James Bradberry was able to contain DK Metcalf. Both James Bradberry and Julian Love were in position to get their own interception but couldn’t come up with the football.
Washington now also is 5-7, tied for the NFC East lead. The Giants now do not control their own destiny. This team needs to overcome the rest of this schedule to keep ahead of Washington.
