The Tennessee Titans training camp can be summed up in two words, Vic Beasley. Since the start of camp, Vic Beasley has not shown up. Where is he? Titans GM Jon Robinson finally gave us the update. According to Robinson, he has been in contact with Beasley; he will arrive at camp in the coming days. The unknown is why the former Atlanta Falcon is still unexcused. During the off-season, the former first-round pick signed a one year deal worth 9.5 million dollars. Beasley received 6.5 million fully guaranteed which has a lot of fans freaking out.
Fans had no idea what was going on with Vic. Questions such as, was he going to opt-out, did he have second thoughts, Is this another Kevin Dodd situation? What makes this circumstance odd is Jon Robinson, and Vic Beasley shares the same agent. One would think there would be a constant flow of communication. However, the news may be much more apparent now, thanks to Angela Moryan.
Moryan is reporting Beasley may have had a death in the family, and that is why he may not be reporting to camp. According to Moryan, the funeral was Wednesday, July 29th. The sad news would explain why Beasley has not been in Tennessee yet. If Moryan is correct, dealing with death is never easy. Furthermore, no one knows how someone will react to it, so we should not be surprised that Beasly is taking his time.
What should the Titans expect moving forward? Apparently, Beasley will be reporting back to Nashville soon. Therefore, the attention shifts back to Jadeveon Clowney. As of Thursday, July 30th, Clowney has still not found a team. Are the Titans going to continue to wait or are they going to use some of their 24 million dollars they have left? The ultimate question still remains, is Jon Robinson going to make any more moves? Tune into Titan Upload Live on Sunday, August 2nd, at 9:05 pm for the latest Titans news.
#Titans OLB Vic Beasley did have a death in the family last week, sources tell me. The funeral was yesterday (Wednesday).
Still unclear if this is in any way related to his absence at training camp the last two days.
